SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING AN ADDRESS OF A BUILDING BY USING GIS

PURPOSE: A system for providing an address of a building is provided to accurately convert an address of a building by automatically providing an address of a building about a road by using GIS. CONSTITUTION: The addresses of buildings are provided such that the left side buildings of a road have odd numbers and the right side buildings of the road have even numbers. The addresses of the buildings are provided in ascending power. With respect to building located in a side street. Lower numbers such as 'X-n' are provided. The addresses of the buildings are automatically provided by using GIS in which space information of the road and the side street is stored. The database of the GIS comprises a space data bse comprising roads, buildings, and side street layers and applicable letter information.
