PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for a cellophane tape which is capable of being moved on the main body of cellophane tape up to a cutting position as the cellophane tape is withdrawn, attaining stable cutting operation up to the end of a tape regardless of tape reduction, and facilitating its mounting and cutting operations. SOLUTION: This cutter for cellophane tape is provided with a main body part 13 whose cross section is formed into a rough U-shape so that it may straddle the tape surface of the main body 1 of cellophane tape, a cutter part 14 for the cellophane tape and a receiving part 15 formed on the upper surface of the main body part 13, a cutter main body 11 formed with a pressing part 16 which is extended from one end part side of the main body part 13 on the receiving part 15 side to be brought into contact with the tape surface, and an elastic fastening band 12 whose both end parts are attached to the cutter main body 11 and which is wound around the main body 1 cellophane tape.
