PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a file in which a file cover and a binding implement are attachable and detachable by slidably engaging a member to be engaged with an end of a standing portion of an engaging member. SOLUTION: The mounting implement for a file comprises an engaging member 12 and a member 14 to be engaged. In the case of mounting the implement, first, a standing portion 12a, 12c of the member 12 are inserted into insertion holes 1a, 2a of a superposing portion obtained by superposing a file cover 1 and a binding implement 2. Then, the member 14 is slidably engaged with the member 12 so that engaging portions 14b, 14c are loosely inserted into engaging grooves 12a1, 12c1 of the portions 12a, 12c. Meanwhile, in the case of removing the mounting implement, an end of a strike stopping portion 14a of the member 14 is lifted by a finger to reversely slide the member 14 while removing a striking pawl 14a1 from edges 12a2, 12c2. Thus, the member 14 is simply removed. Thereafter, when the member 12 is drawn from a side of the cover 1, the cover 1 can be separated from the implement 2.
