PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cataplasm made of a substrate and a hydrous paste layer and so designed that both the shearing tackiness and 50% modulus of the cataplasm satisfy given requirements, respectively, so as to be adequately prevented from being peeled off after applied and excellent in the accuracy of punching (cutting) operation in its production process. SOLUTION: This cataplasm is made up of a substrate and a hydrous paste layer laminated thereon, and satisfies such requirements as to be (A) 0.1-5 N/cm2 in the shearing tackiness determined according to the following procedure: a test piece of 25 mm width×80 mm length is prepared from this cataplasm, such a portion of the hydrous paste layer as to be 25 mm width×25 mm length is applied onto a test plate specified in accordance with the JIS Z 0237-1991 8.2.2 standard, the part thus applied is pressure-bonded under a force of 5 kgf for 15 min, and the test piece is then stressed at a rate of 300±30 mm/min using a tensile tester so as to align the centerline of the test piece with that of the chucks of the tester and also set the force applied onto the test piece in parallel to the centerline of the test piece until the applied part is peeled off or the test piece is broken, and (B) 0.1-5 N/cm in 50% modulus.
