PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart good flexibility to a flexible tube of an endoscope with the outer surface of a meshed tube covered with a molten material to form an outer skin. SOLUTION: In this flexible tube 1 for an endoscope having a helical tube 10 formed by winding strip members into a coil shape with gaps in the direction of pitches, a meshed tube 20 formed when element-wire bundles each comprising a plurality of element wires aligned are woven in the form of a net, and covering the outer surface of the helical tube 10, and a flexible outer skin 30 formed in the shape of a tube covering the outer surface of the meshed tube 20 while melted, the outer skin members 30 melted are projected through the meshes 21 of the dispersed meshed tubes 20 in such a way as to be dispersed within gaps 11 in the direction of the pitches of the helical tube 10.
