PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of the continuity of additionally written information even when an underline is generated by store-holding pre-recorded information while stopping the recording of information when the storage amount of the recording information in a buffering means becomes equal to or smaller than a preliminarily set prescribed storage amount. SOLUTION: When the data amount of a buffer memory becomes smaller than the amount of a prescribed level B, the recording of information is temporarily stopped at the latter half part of the second sync frame 42 from the head end of an ECC block 30 and the recording is resumed from the head end of the second frame 42 from the head end of the ECC block 30 when the data amount is recovered to be equal to or larger than the amount of the level B (or a level A). Consequently, even when the underline is generated in recording information SR and the data amount in the buffer memory is lowered, the continuity can be secured at the time of reproducing encoded signals which are recorded on a DVD-R1 and a correct reproduction becomes possible. Then, pre-recorded information are made to be stored on an information storage medium. |
