PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital camera with the improved utility of a communica tion function by providing a storage medium recording outputted image data and a communicating means for performing data communication with an exter nal device through various networks. SOLUTION: A CPU part 112 controls each part of a digital camera 100 according to programs (photographing control program, a communication program, etc.), stored in a ROM part 115 in response to an input instruction of an operating part 107 and an LCD display panel part 105. Under the control of the part 112, image data picked up through a lens part 101 and an image pickup device 102 are subjected to signal processing in a camera image processing part 103, subsequently subjected to compression processing by an image compressing and expanding part 104 and stored in a memory card 120 through a PCMCIA/IF part 114. Then, a storage medium records the image data and performs data communication with an external device through various networks by a communicating means. Thus, it is possible to further improve the utility of a communication function. |
