PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have durability and be superior in non-adhesive performance by constituting a paper feed roller of silicone and providing an abutment part with its surface recessed/projected by prescribed height of projections. SOLUTION: A paper feed roller is constituted approximately of a shaft 2, a paper feed roller 1 of a base roller, and silicone embossments 4, or projections. After adhesive 5 is applied on a sulfur and sulfur composed free- machining steel wire shaft 2 and dried, it is installed in a rubber forming die so that a paper feed roller is vulcanized. The outer circumference is polished into a prescribed outside diameter and secured from the center runout. The thickness of the coating layer is decided according to the coating thickness, however, it is formed into the thickness 1000-10μ. In a case of less than 10μ, an air mold releasing layer on a platen roller surface becomes thin so as to be easily exfoliated relative to a non-adhesive paper sheet. In a case of a hardening layer of 1000μor more, it is difficult to secure the stable shape of the embossments so as to enlarge the center runout.
