PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device of a sensor that can have good efficiency and uniform light projecting surfaces. SOLUTION: This light emitting device 10 of a sensor comprises a plurality of light emitting elements arranged side by side, reflection means disposed on both sides along the light emitting direction of the light emitting elements, and a plate-shaped translucent medium 12 disposed between the reflection means on both sides, with the plurality of light emitting elements arranged side by side and attached to one edge 18 of the translucent medium 12, and with a number of grooves 20 formed in the edge 18 of the translucent medium 12 along its cross direction. The light emitting elements are mounted at predetermined intervals to one another on the side where the grooves 20 are provided, so that light propagates between the reflection means on both sides. |
