<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed for endoscopy that allows a smooth endoscopy for the lower part of the body. SOLUTION: When an endoscopy is carried out for the lower part of the body as an operator 4 inserts the insertion part 11 of an endoscope 5 into the anus 3a of a patient 3 lying on his or her side on a bed 2, a recess 26 is formed in a side face of the bed 2 and the operator 4 puts a part of his or her body into the recess 26, thereby avoiding troubles with the inserting operation, or the like, which arise if the recess 26 is not provided, since then the operator cannot approach his or her body toward the anus 3a serving as the inlet of the endoscope. Thus, an endoscopy for the lower part of the body can be performed smoothly and quickly.</p> |
