METHOD FOR CARRYING STIMULABLE PHOSPHOR SHEET, AND STIMULABLE PHOSPHOR SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carrying device and a carrying method by which the carrying direction of a stimulable phosphor sheet which is required to miniaturize a radiation image recording and reproducing device can be changed at an acute angle while avoiding damage liable to be caused on the sheet. SOLUTION: In this method for carrying the stimulable phosphor sheet 3, the stimulable phosphor sheet 3 whose flexibility in a carrying direction is higher than that in a width direction is advanced by a driving roller 7 carrying the sheet forward in a sheet plane direction while being in contact only with the vicinities of both side edges of the sheet and is moved in the space of a phosphor sheet guiding device consisting of a pair of side edge guides 5a and 5b having the same curved surfaces inside and arranged so that respective side surfaces may face to each other through a space somewhat smaller than the width of the sheet 3 to be carried, and plural rotating rollers 6 arranged inside the guides 5a and 5b through sufficient space so that the sheet 3 may pass through along the respective curved surfaces of the guides 5a and 5b.
