PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery residual capacity detecting device capable of accurately detecting the residual capacity of a battery. SOLUTION: This device includes a voltage detecting means 1a for detecting the terminal-to-terminal voltage of a battery 2, a current detecting means 1b for detecting the drive current of a load to which power is supplied from the battery 2, and a voltage correcting means 1c for determining a corrected voltage by multiplying the sum of wiring resistance between the battery 2 and the load and the internal resistance of the battery 2 by the drive current and for adding the corrected voltage to the terminal-to-terminal voltage and outputting the result.
