PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recover from a stopped condition to a normal readiness condition, previously prevent lowering of working efficiency, and continuously work as required without stopping. SOLUTION: This power tool has a conductive cutting edge part 3c capable of pricking to a structure W, and is provided with a conductive rotor 3 rotationally driven by a motor 2 accommodated in a housing 1, a detecting means for detecting earth current flowing through a grounding means 11, a power source cutting-off means for cutting off a power supply circuit of the motor 2 according to detection of the earth current by the detecting means, a cutting-off canceling means 9 for canceling a cutting-off state of the power supply circuit, and a switching means 10 for switching the power source cutting- off means to be either ready condition or unready condition.
