PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable equalizer to be used in a data transmission system, which accelerates a data speed and extends the cable range. SOLUTION: A cable equalizer 20 formed as an active filter can be easily produced by heterojunction bipolar transistor(HBT) techniques, accordingly, can be extremely easily produced as a monolythic integrated circuit and consumes the nomical quantity of power and chip size. The active filter is provided with a pair of differentially connected transistors like HBT transistors Q1A and Q1B constituted so as to have an attenuator resistor 2R and a shunt capacitor CD/2. The active filter 20 can apply high frequency boost having linear phase characteristics.
