<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the electrical characteristics of the interface of an insulator and to shorten workhours, by inserting between the cylindrical part of a cable insulator and reinforcing insulator high dielectric layers made of a material of a specific permittivity and thinned down from the outer end toward inner end. SOLUTION: A reinforcing insulator 15 is formed on a jointed part in such a way as to cover a conductor jointed part 19, the tapered parts 5a and cylindrical parts 5b of cable insulators 5 provided at both sides of the jointed part 19. High dielectric layers 21 made of the dielectric material of the permittivity of 5-20 are inserted between the cylindrical part of the cable insulator and the reinforcing insulator 15. The thickness of this high dielectric layers 21 are thinned from the outer end toward the inner end to become less than 0.5 mm. The insertion of these layers 21 eases the electric field around the end part of the reinforcing insulator 15 and increases the electrical characteristics of the interface between the cable insulator and reinforcing one. The layers 21 can be formed on the outside circumferential surface of the cylindrical part 5b of the cable insulator by either method of covering tube or heat-shrinkable tube, winding a tape and molding a wound tape.</p> |
