PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sinker for fishing whose weight is readily adjustable or settable. SOLUTION: This sinker for fishing comprises a base weight 1 that is fitted to a fishing line F at its head part and a first and a second weight-adjusting bodies 5, 6 which can be suitably selected and detachably fitted to the tail part of the base weight 1 via a coupling device 10. The tail parts of the base weight 1 and the first weight-adjusting body 5 are made to have smaller diameters than those of the upper parts a their body parts, while the lower bottom faces of these small diameter parts are made spherical. Then, depressions 5A, 6A are respectively formed on the upper parts of the first weight-adjusting body 5 and the second weight-adjusting body 6 so that the spherical face parts of smaller diameter parts may be completely fitted thereto whereby the spherical parts are covered with the depressions to form dome-shape covered parts 5A, 6A. The coupling device 10 has a thread-fastening structure and female thread parts are formed individually on the lower parts of the base weight 1 and the first weight-adjusting body 5, while male thread parts are projected in the deep parts of the depressions at the covered parts 5A, 6A of the upper parts of the first weight-adjusting body 5 and the second weight-adjusting body 6.
