PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording and recorder capable of always performing an adequate recording operation irrespective of a position of an image forming region in a full-color image to be formed on a recording medium. SOLUTION: A control means 35 can change a top-of-form position TOF and sets a top-of-form position TOF1 at a part positioned on a leading end side in an image forming region PPZ of a full-color image to be formed on a recording medium P based on recording information when the recording medium is fed in the reverse direction in order to form the full-color image on the recording medium P. The control means 35 controls a driving motor 28 such that the recording medium P is fed in the reverse direction with respect to the top-of-form position TOF1.
