PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully automatically supply and pack works into trays by disposing a tray supply means at some midpoint in a carrying conveyor, also disposing a work supply means downstream therefrom, further providing an upper-lid supply means downstream therefrom, and disposing an upper-lid push-in means downstream therefrom. SOLUTION: An intermittent carrying conveyor 3 is provided with a tray supply means A for supplying trays 5 to the intermittent carrying conveyor 3. Also, downstream therefrom, a cake supply means B for supplying cakes 1 to the trays 5 carried by a cake-carrying conveyor 2 is provided. And downstream therefrom, an upper-lid supply means C for putting upper lids 6 onto the trays 5 is provided. Further, downstream therefrom, an upper-lid push-in means D for bringing the trays 5 and upper lids 6 into firm contact with each other is provided. Because, according to the structure, the cakes 1 are successively supplied to the trays 5 carried by the intermittent carrying conveyor 3, the upper lids 6 are placed over the trays 5, and also they are brought into firm contact with each other, a large number of cakes 1 can be packed fully automatically.
