PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multi-functional random access memory in which self-test and the like can be continuously performed. SOLUTION: A random access memory 100 for multi-function is assembled on a single semiconductor substrate. The substrate is provided with a memory array 110 including plural pages 111-16, at least one operation processor element 120, and an internal and external address mapping means 130. The pages, the operation processing element, and the mapping means are connected mutually by a clock, control, data, and an address signal line 140. The signal line connects the operation processing element and the internal and external mapping means to a host processor through an external access path, connects at least one operation processing element and plural pages through a multi-functional access path, and connects the internal and external mapping means to a memory page through an internal access path. While a host processor accesses normally, a slftest and the like also can be performed simultaneously and continuously. |
