PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the outflow of catalyst particles from a reactor as well as to easily and reliably prevent the channelling of a reactive fluid in the reactor by disposing honeycomb structures in the reactor to constitute a false multi- tubed reactor and packing the catalyst into the structures. SOLUTION: A hollow disk or the like is disposed on the inside of the lower end of a reactor so as to prevent the leakage of a fluid in the gap between the reactor 11 and honeycomb structures 12a, 12b packed into the reactor 11. A relatively small catalyst 32 is packed into the honeycomb structures 12a, 12b. In order to prevent the migration and outflow of the catalyst 32, inert particles are used as a catalyst presser. The particle diameter of the catalyst 32 is set at <=1 mm, the particle diameter of the lower inert particles 33 is made 0.5-10 times that of the catalyst 32 and the particle diameter of the upper inert particles 34 is made 1.5-10 times that of the lower inert particles 33. |
