摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a gas insulated lightning arrester in a smaller area without using branch conductors, by arranging at the central part of an enclosed container a connecting electrode gas-insulated from a bus part by insulating spacers having a central electrode between stacked zinc oxide elements and an insulated supporting insulator. SOLUTION: Connecting conductors 46g in which a load current flows are gas-insulated by insulating spacers 46f at bus connecting parts 46e and contained inside a gas insulated lightning arrester 46. Generated heat in this part raises the interior temperature of the arrester 46, but the length of the connecting conductors 46g at the portion of the arrester 46 is so short that the amount of heat generation is minimal. The enclosed container 46a of the arrester 46 has sufficient radiating area for the amount of heat generation at the portion of the connecting conductors 46g so that the temperature of a breaker side arrester 46 rarely rises. Thus, the structure of series connection to a connecting bus 45 can be achieved by incorporating a part of the connecting bus 45. As a result, branch buses which connect the arrester to the connecting bus are not required, and installation space is virtually not required, either.</p>
