PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the structure of a thermally actuated switch capable of keeping a separating state of the contact of a movable contact and a fixed contact when a bimetal piece is returned without reversing by gradual change of temperature (slow cooling) in a reversing-returning process of the bimetal corresponding to the temperature change, and preventing chattering of the contact of the movable contact and the fixed contact when the bimetal piece is separated by reversing again in temperature rising. SOLUTION: A supporting member 2 having a fixed contact 3, and a bimetal piece 6 having a movable contact 7 conducting contact/separation with/from the fixed contact 3 at one end and fixed to the supporting member 2 at the other end are installed, and obstructing members 2e, 9 for obstructing the contact of the movable contact with the fixed contact 3 by the contact with the bimetal piece 6 in the way of returning after the bimetal piece 6 is reversed in accordance with temperature are installed between the bimetal piece 6 and the supporting member 2.
