PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily coat a decorative plate which looks beautiful without being conscious of adhesion coating speck or dust after coating by heating a resin plate having see-through properties, vacuum molding it, releasing it from a mold, trimming it, molding it to a decorative plate, and coating its rear surface. SOLUTION: A protective film 8 is previously adhered to a surface 6 of a resin plate 5. The plate 5 is supported so that a rear surface 7 not adhered with the film 8 is disposed at a mold side, and heated by a heater. The plate 5 is brought into close contact with the mold while sucking in the state that the plate 5 is softened, and vacuum molded. After the plate 5 is cooled, it is taken out from the mold, trimmed by a laser or a rotary gear, and the plate 5 is formed as the decorative plate. Its rear surface 7 is coated by a coating sprayer 10. Thus, since coating speck or a dust adhered after coating is not seen from the surface 6, it can be easily coated without being conscious of them, and a beautiful decorative plate can be decorated.
