PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bolts and screws from being exposed on a surface of a timber by attaching, to one surface of the timber, a connecting member which is obtained by externally swelling the peripheral surface of a shaft portion at a central portion of a flat base to form an engaging portion, and placing concrete on the surface. SOLUTION: A connecting member 3 has a disc base 31 which has a screw hole 32 formed in the central portion thereof. A cylindrical shaft portion 33 is formed around the screw hole 32, which shaft portion has its end externally swelled, to thereby from an engaging portion 34. A timber 1 has a rear surface to which the connecting member 3 is attached at suitable intervals, and concrete 2 is placed on the surface to which the connecting member 3 is attached. Thus, joint between the concrete and the timber becomes strong and the timber is rarely delaminated from the concrete, and therefore a head of a screw is not exposed on the surface of the timber, whereby safety and preferable appearance are imparted. Further, joint between the concrete and the timber is facilitated only by attaching the connecting member to the timber, and therefore work of the concrete is facilitated.
