PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically suppress the uneven settlement of a structure to the minimum in a simple method by improving the ground of the lower ground layer of the structure as dense as the center part of the structure down to depth not reaching firm ground, and allowing settlement together with peripheral ground through the improved ground. SOLUTION: The ground 2 of the lower part of a structure 5 is constituted as a mound improvement part as dense as the center part of the structure 5. The depth of the ground improvement part is down to the depth not reaching firm ground 4. Even when the structure 5 is settled as a whole, it is settled together with peripheral ground through the improved ground. In this case, for instance, hardener is discharged from the edge of an auger to be agitated and mixed with the mound 2, a circular column-like improvement wall 1 is constructed in the ground 2, the ground improvement wall 1 is concentrically constructed by successively arranging the circular columns. and the fixed area of the ground is surrounded as a closed division. Thereby, the uneven settlement of the structure can be economically suppressed by using a comparatively thin floor plate.
