PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the uniformalization of the film thickness in a designed pattern part and to improve adhesion property and weather resistance by control ling the interfacial physical properties and the viscosity of a base coat forming coating material, a patterned coating film forming coating material and a clear coating film forming coating material and optically controlling the clear coating film forming coating material. SOLUTION: A patterned coating film is formed on a base coat formed on a base material to be coated and further a clear coating film is formed thereon. In such a case, the floor sliding resistance coefficient is set to 0.1-1, the residual viscosity at the time of applying, the yield value and the surface tension of the patterned coating film forming coating material are respectively set to 0.1-5 Pa.s, 5-30 Pa and 25-45 dyne/cm and the ultraviolet transmissivity of the dry coating film of the clear coating film forming coating material in the case of 10μm film thickness is set to 0-50% in 300-320 nm wave length. A sponge transfer roll 24 and a cleaning roll 25 in addition to a mesh roll 23 for holding the coating material in a coating material tank 30 are provided for a roll coater 1.
