PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-board adhesive composition capable of entirely preventing floor creaking phenomena, free from any volatile organic compound(VOC) such as plasticizer or organic solvent, emitting neither endocrine disruptor nor any substance causing sick house syndrome, and exhibiting high adhesion. SOLUTION: This water-based adhesive composition is characterized by comprising (I) an aqueous emulsion (30-70 wt.% in solid content) of a vinyl resin -20 to 10 deg.C in glass transition temperature prepared by polymerization using, as protective colloid, the neutralization product of a copolymer resin of (a) maleic anhydride and/or imide thereof and (b) anα-olefin and (II) 50-250 pts.wt. of a filler (based on 100 pts.wt. of the above solid fraction).
