PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common-mode choke coil having improved workability in manufacturing processes and superior yield. SOLUTION: This common-mode choke coil 18 has a ferrite core 1, where two through holes 3, 4 penetrating two opposed vertical wall surfaces 6a, 6b made of a ferrite core material in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape are pierced, an upper wall surface 8 is cut into a substantially H shape in a plan view (the cut reaches the end surface of a core 11) and the surroundings of openings 5 of the two through-holes 3, 4 are open upward, four electrodes 2 which are formed along respective edges of four vertical wall surfaces 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b of the ferrite core 1 up to the upper and lower wall surfaces 8, 9 and are stuck directly on the core and two wires 12, 13, which are wound by using a part of the core interposed between the two through holes 3, 4 of the ferrite core 1 as a core and are conductivity connected to the electrodes 2 with end portions thereof. Furthermore, a sealing material is filled to form a chip-type coil which is substantially a rectangular parallelepiped shape.
