PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detector capable of automatically detecting flaws in a fillet welded part wherein a junction member is fillet-welded to a base material in a T-shape. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic flaw detector has independent traveling trucks 6, 7 respectively supporting flaw detecting probes 8, 13 such that the traveling trucks 6, 7 sandwich a junction member 1 fillet-welded to a base material 2 in a T-shape. The respective traveling trucks 6, 7 are traveled in synchronization with each other such that a mutual position relation between the respective flaw detecting probes 8, 13 is maintained. The traveling trucks 6, 7 are respectively provided with travel controlling probes 18, 22 addition to the flaw detecting probes 8, 13. By transmitting and receiving travel position information between the respective travel controlling probes 18, 22 through the junction member 1 with ultrasonic waves, one traveling truck 6 can automatically follow the other traveling truck 7. |
