PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type photo-acoustic cell allowing free adjustment of a sealed pressure in the cell, allowing effective propagation of a photo- acoustic signal generated in the cell, allowing free change of a test object, and allowing reduction of a continuous test time of the test object. SOLUTION: This open type photo-acoustic cell has a sample cover part within a case body comprising both an irradiation chamber and a microphone housing chamber. The irradiation chamber is provided with an exciting light introduction window in a first opening part in a portion of the bottom face of the case body, facing an infinite-curvature sample. The microphone housing chamber has a second opening part in a portion of the bottom face of the case body, facing to the sample, and houses a microphone 12 for detecting acoustic waves generated from the sample and propagating through the second opening part. A protrusive sealing part 14 is provided around the first and second opening parts. The sample cover part placed on the sample, a sample chamber 16 comprising a sample surface and the sealing part 14, and the microphone housing chamber constitute an acoustic wave guide 17. |
