PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera that can select to which of a prescribed initial value and a preceding setting value a photographing condition is set at the application of power. SOLUTION: Every time an entry key 103 is depressed, setting of exposure correction recording is switched between ON and OFF. When the exposure correction storage is set to OFF, power of the digital camera is once interrupted and the correction value of the exposure is restored to an initial value 0.0 at the application of power again. When the exposure correction storage is set to ON, the exposure correction value is preserved. Every time the entry key 104 is depressed, the white balance setting storage state is switched between ON and OFF. Every time an entry key 105 is depressed, a state of strobe setting storage is switched between ON and OFF.
