PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic sounding body which can lighten the load on a coil spring and prevent the spring from deforming. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic sounding body 10 houses element components such as an exciting coil 3, a magnet 4, and a diaphragm 5 between a base cover 2 and a top cove 1, a terminal of the exciting coil 3 is connected; and a couple of coil springs 6 are inserted into the coil spring housing part 2 of the base cover 2 from the lower surface side as an external connection terminal for external connection, and a coil spring terminal connection part connects the terminal of the exciting coil to a lead frame by a fixing means such as solder. The coil spring housing part 2a provided in the base cover 2 has its edge part on the substrate contact side formed in an radiused shape 2c or chamfered shape or has its storage part formed tapered. The coil springs are easily housed and the load due to the edge part on the coils is reduce. The coil springs are not got between a substrate and the electromagnetic sounding body when housed.
