PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the infection preventive and therapeutic agent, antiendotoxin agent, vaccine adjuvant agent and growth-promotion agent that are safe and effective in mammalians by using the extract from bagasse (sugar cane). SOLUTION: This infection preventive and therapeutic agent, antiendotoxin agent, vaccine adjuvant agent and growth-promotion agent includes the extract originating from bagasse. In a preferred embodiment, the objective extract originating from sugar canes is obtained by subjecting a raw materials selected from preferably the sugar cane extract (for example, pressed sugar cane juice, or the juice leached out of sugar cane with water, or the clean juice resulting from the lime treatment or its concentrate in the crude sugar production factory), the liquid resulting from the solvent extraction of sugar cane (sugar cane is extracted with a general-purpose solvent, the solution is concentrated to the dryness and dissolved again in water) and the molasses originating from sugar canes (for example, a mixture of the sugar crystals and the mother liquor obtained in the crystallization step is centrifuged and molasses is separated) to the column chromatography using an immobilized carrier. In one embodiment, the daily dose of this extract powder produced here is 1-1,000 mg/kg weight, preferably 50-1,000 mg/kg weight. |
