<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce drive power of data signal lines by dividing a signal side drive circuit into the same number of circuit blocks as the number of divisions of a data, or dividing the drive circuit into circuit blocks as many as a half of the number of divisions of the data. SOLUTION: When the number of divisions of a data and the number of divisions of a signal side drive circuit are expressed as A, and horizontal resolution of a panel is expressed by M, since the number B of latches 03 in each circuit block is B=3.n.M/A, a maximum value Ck of cross capacitance C to be connected with a data signal line (k) as a load is expressed as Ck=B.C =3.n.M.C/A. Moreover, the total cross capacitance of all the data signal lines Cd becomes Cd=A.B.C.(k+1)/2=3.n.M.C.(3.n+1)/2. Here, the signal drive circuit is divided into the number of divisions A of the data, and the number of the data signal lines to be arranged for each circuit block is made to (3.n) lines. This method can reduce round waveform of the data signal lines to 1/A and reduce the drive power of the data signal lines to about 1/A compared with a conventional method.</p> |
