PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the proper cross-section of a three-dimensional model by a simple operation. SOLUTION: Generation of a tool face in a tool face generating part 3 conducted according to preliminarily set rules through the use of tool face definition data imputted by an inputting part 1, and the cross arithmetic operation of the tool face generated by the tool face generating part and a three- dimensional model is operated by a model cross-section generating part 4 and the model cross-section of the three-dimensional model can be generated. Then, one of the parts of the three-dimensional model cut by the tool face generated by the tool face generating part is selected according to the designation of residual area selection data inputted by the inputting part 1, and post cross-section model can be generated from the shape of the model cross section by a post cross-section model generating part 5.
