PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a heat storage tank having excellent heat storage efficiency. SOLUTION: A heat storage tank provided to a foundation pit of a building comprises a plurality of water tanks 4 defined by foundation beams 1 and the like to serve as defining walls consisting of a body wherein a series of water passage is formed to communicate between the water tanks through communicating holes 5 provided at the defining walls. In the storage tank, mixing type water tanks 4a, 4c for mixing therein heat storing water to obtain substantially uniformed water temperature and a stratification type water tank 4b for generating a temperature stratification without having the heat storing water mixed therein, are used in combination. The mixing type water tank is provided by further dividing the water tank with a partitioning wall. The partitioning wall is constituted such that both ends of a sheet member having a communication hole at a given position therein are firmly connected to struts which are established along the defining walls, so that the sheet member is stretched between the struts.
