Date Jan. 22, 1998A sailing vessel has a hull of a low-profile construction with a work deck overhanging the accommodation area extending substantially from the midsection of the hull to a terrace deck adjacent the stern. Continuous openings along the port and starboard sides are closeable with a watertight shutter extending between the work deck and the waterline. This shutter is formed by a roller blind guided in track along opposite edges of the opening and sealed to prevent the sea from entering the accommodation area.
