PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a jelly-like food which is packed in a container, can be stored for a long period, is not hardened even when heated under pressurization and then stored for a long period, holds such a soft touch as being melted in mouths, and has its original flavor. SOLUTION: This jelly-like food packed in a container contains agar and gelatin in a total amount of 0.25 to 1.60% based on the total amount of the jelly-like coagulated content of the jelly-like food in an agar, has gelatin weight ratio of 1:5 to 3:1, further contains one or more kinds of gum selected from xanthan gum, locust bean gum, gellant gum and tamarind gum in an amount of 0. 001 to 0. 10%, has a gel strength of 60 to 200 g and a pH value of from >4.6 to <=8.5, and is pressed and sterilized at a temperature of >100 deg.C. |
