PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably perform tracking of a communication satellite(CS) using a reception antenna mounted on a moving object with high response and further without misidentifying a tracking object. SOLUTION: A control channel belonging to the same down link as a designated information channel is tuned (S320), and the direction of a reception antenna part is controlled with the peak of the C/N level of these transmission data as a tracking object (S330). When a radio wave under reception at the reception antenna part is found to be not coming from the target CS (S350-N) as a result of discrimination based on satellite identification information provided by the tuned control channel, similar processing is repeated with a peak which is different from the peak previously defined as the tracking object as a tracking object (S370). Since such tracking control is performed while using the control channel provided exclusively for transmitting control information, the extraction of the satellite identification information and further the discrimination of the CS can be speedily performed and, as a result, the target CS can be speedily tracked without failure. |
