PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a recording material in a deflected condition from jumping up when separating claws are separated from a conveyance belt. SOLUTION: A short recording material P tends to have little deflection, therefore separating claws 4 are separated from a conveyance belt 3 immediately after the front end of the recording material P passes through the separating claws 4. On the other hand, a long recording material P tends to have much deflection when the separation of the separating claws 4 is performed early, therefore the material is brought into contact with the conveyance belt 3 for a long time, and the separating claws 4 are separated after the rear end of the recording material P passes through a transfer part. |
