SOLUTION: Footing construction in a liquefied ground includes an improved ground 14 compacted from a specific depth of the ground within a range W of the bottom slab of a culvert 12 to the upper surface of a non-liquefied layer 15, earth retaining walls 11a and 11b extended from the inside of the non- liquefied layer 15 upwards of the bottom slab 12a and the culvert 12 provided in the improved ground 14 so as to bring at least the lower end of both side walls 12a and 12b into contact with the earth retaining walls 11a and 11b on both sides.
