PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of realizing the acceleration of data transfer by transferring control information without using DMA (direct memory access) transfer in starting the DMA transfer. SOLUTION: This device starts DMA transfer and performs data transfer to a prescribed device when it executes a channel program. An input-output controller 10 controlling data transfer transfers data about the operation modes of devices 30 and 31, a transfer start address and the number of transfer bytes together with the control information of the devices 30 and 31 described in a channel program header to device controllers 20 and 21 controlling the devices 30 and 31 before starting the DMA transfer, and the controllers 20 and 21 set the devices 30 and 31 on the basis of the data about the operation modes of the devices 30 and 31, the transfer start address and the number of transfer bytes which are transferred together with the control information from the controller 10.
