PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ink excellent especially in water resistance, light resistance and preservation stability, and useful for ink jet printing system by including a specific oil-soluble dyestuff and a resin dispersion. SOLUTION: This ink is obtained by including (A) an oil-soluble dyestuff preferably with a melting point of <=100 deg.C, solubility to water of <=1 wt.% and solubility to toluene of >=10 wt.% (e.g. a compound of the formula) and (B) a resin dispersion preferably with a mean particle size of <=1.0 μm, which comprises a polyester-based resin, or the like. The ink is obtained, for instance, by conducting a polymerization to obtain a resin of the component B followed by direct addition of the component A, and if necessary, addition of an additive, or the like, and then homogeneous dissolution or dispersion, and furthermore by adding water to the system to bring it into an aqueous dispersion and emulsifying it. It is preferable that the ink contains 5-50 wt.% of colored resin minute particles and the colored resin minute particles contain 5-50 wt.% of the dyestuff. |
