PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder system for a dielectric barrier discharge lamp capable of emitting light efficiently. SOLUTION: This feeder system includes a discharge plasma space, and applies an approximately periodic ac high voltage to at least one of electrodes for inducing a discharge phenomenon to a discharge gas and a dielectric barrier discharge lamp 2. The feeder system comprises a chopper circuit 11 for outputting a voltage of a dc voltage source 10 as a dc voltage higher than that, a booster transformer 13, and an inverter circuit 12 for converting the output from the chopper circuit 11 into an ac voltage and supplying it to a primary side of the boosting transformer 13. A gate signal Gc for controlling a switching element of the chopper circuit 11 is generated in synchronization with gate signals GU, GL for controlling the switching element of the inverter circuit 12, and a pulse width of the gate signal for controlling the switching element of the inverter circuit 12 is constant irrespective of the pulse width of the gate signal. |
