PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cored coil, the size of which in particular, can be made smaller, and manufacture thereof. SOLUTION: A magnetic core 11 is crushed by pressure in the AB direction shown in the figure to be deformed into a flat shape after originally being formed in a cylindrical shape. Two opposed flat portions 11b, 11c are formed in the magnetic core 11. Since the magnetic core 11 is formed into a flat shape, a small-size cored coil 10 can be obtained. Two cuts 13, 14 are provided in the flat portion 11c of the magnetic core 11. Since these cuts 13, 14 function as so-called 'gaps', DC-superimposing characteristic can be improved.
