PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which has a function making a designated a DPOF(digital print order format) file to be returned while confirming a backup function of the DPOF file and the history information of the DPOF file. SOLUTION: An electrophotographic image processor stores the existing DPOF file as a backup file in a designated directory of media designated as a backup area in a designated name in the case the DPOF file already exists in a DPOF file generation area when the DPOF file is prepared (S173). Subsequently, the prepared DPOF file is overwritten and stored (S174). Also, when the DPOF file is returned from the backup file, the DPOF file is specified by the designation of an item cursor and the DPOF file is returned to the DPOF file generation area (S202).
