PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evenly apply a phosphor of a constant thickness inside discharge cells of a PDP regardless of a height of a barrier rib. SOLUTION: A phosphor is applied onto a lubricating material 71 applied on a surface of a back panel formed with a barrier rib 13. In another embodiment, after the phosphor is applied onto the panel formed with the barrier rib 13, a compressed gas is injected to a position of each cell to push in and stick the phosphor to a side face of the barrier rib 13. Then, the phosphor is fixed in an area of the phosphor color, while removed in an area of the other color. |
