摘要 PURPOSE:To offer a hot-water supply apparatus where a hot-water supply device can be controlled from the hot-water supply terminal device side. CONSTITUTION:A hot-water supply terminal device 3 is connected to a hot-water supply device 2 by a hot-water supply pipe 1 and a flow rate change device 4 is mounted on the hot-water supply device side of the hot-water supply pipe 1. The hot-water supply device 3 is provided with a controller 6 and an encoding controller 7 which converts control signals from the controller 6 into hot-water flow rate fluctuating signals consisting of a time series of short time period fluctuations in the hot-water flow rate. In addition, the hot-water supply device 2 has a hot-water flow fluctuation detector 8, a deencoding device 9 and a controller 10. The fluctuation detector 8 detects fluctuations in the flow rate of the hot-water flowing along the hot-water supply pipe 1. The encoding device 9 generates signals consisting of a time series of the detected fluctuations in the hot-water flow rate, and the controller 10 controls the hot-water supply device 2 using the encoded signals as one of control signals. Thereby, desired control signals can be sent from the hot-water supply terminal device 3 to the hot-water supply device 2 without providing a communication line, so that troublesome construction work can be avoided and connection terminals for the communication line become unnecessary to be provided on both the hot-water supply device 2 and the hot-water supply terminal device 3.
