A circuit for magnifying/demagnifying an image comprising a first selector (30) for selecting either the sum of the remainder of a preset magnification/demagnification step value, a first D flip-plop circuit (36) for adding/subtracting the output of the first selector (30) to/from a preset magnification/demagnification initial value for each dot and/or for each line and outputting the result, a second selector (40) for selecting either the sum or remainder of the magnification/demagnification value based on the output of the first D flip-flop circuit (36), a second D flip-flop circuit (44) for adding/subtracting the output selected by the second selector (40) to/from a preset initial magnification power signal for each dot and/or for each line and outputting the result to a magnifying/demagnifying section (46), whereby the magnification or demagnification power is changed for each dot and/or for each line so as to generate a smoothly-changing image giving no strange feeling. <IMAGE> |
