PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the constitution of an intermediate transfer part compact and simple and to improve maintainability by constituting an individual unit so that it can be freely attached to/detached from a rotating body in a state where color toner is stored inside and its aperture part turns upward. SOLUTION: The attaching/detaching operation of an intermediate transfer belt unit 2 is designed to be performed in a perpendicular direction to the rotary shaft of a photoreceptor. The circumferential length of an intermediate transfer belt 3 is set to a value obtained by adding length a little longer than the half of the circumferential length of the photoreceptor drum to the length in the longitudinal direction of the paper of A4 size being maximum paper size. A position detector 10 optically detects the passage of the position detection hole of the belt 3 so as to perform the alignment of a color image on the belt 3. Four sectorial image forming units 12Bk, 12Y, 12M and 12C for respective colors, black, cyan, magenta and yellow, constitute an image forming unit group 13 and annularly arranged in the center of a printer. Each image forming unit can be attachably/detachably attached to the specified position in the unit 13 by opening a printer upper surface plate 1C. |
